2006 Pura Inspiración Film Contest Guidelines

Celebrando la diversidad cultural. Celebrating cultural diversity.


Puro Mexicano & Reel Inspiration are looking for inspiring documentary and narrative films about the good in our world. There's a special "Celebrating Cultural Diversity Award" for the filmmaker who best incorporates cultural heritage and traditions into their story.


Movies may be shot in any format but must be submitted on VHS, DVD, or mini DV.
Movies should be appropriate for a general audience.
No profanity, insulting or distasteful humor, nudity, nor gratuitous sex or violence, please.
Non-English entries must have subtitles.




PRIZES:
Adult Semi-finalists will be judged by industry professionals at our awards screening November 15th at the Fox Theatre in Tucson, AZ. Adult semi-finalists receive passes to the Puro Meixcano: Tucson Film Festival that weekend. Adult finalists will be promoted by inclusion on the Winners Reel which may be screened at various organizations. Prizes to be announced on our website as they become known. Previous prizes included: a directing workshop ($1200 value) acting workshop ($85), professional script critique ($325), a production class ($75), and a day's shoot at Gammon's Gulch Western set ($500). Separate children's and teens awards. Qualifying children's entries screened at the Children's Showcase on November 4th.
